NOT EVERYONE HAS A HOLLYWOOD SIZED BUDGET
With audience expectations growing, film makers are often torn between artistic ambition and budgetary constraints. Although there seems to be a degree of regional grant aid available for film making and the production process, there is little to support high quality post production and visual effects. Film makers are therefore often forced to choose between poor quality effects, or losing a large proportion of their budget on traditional high cost post production studios.
Many of today's Hollywood blockbusters rely heavily on 3D software
which only a few years ago was beyond the budget of smaller
animation studios. However, falling software costs and faster
computer
hardware now allows extremely high quality output, for a much
smaller budget.
